Serviced apartments are back in vogue. HR and mobility professionals say that over the last few years, they have seen a surge in business travellers switching from standard hotels to accommodation options that are set up to closely resemble their own homes.

That increase in demand is being met by growing supply, particularly in Singapore. This gives HR a growing number of choices when it comes to selecting the perfect accommodation for their international colleagues and many are looking to go beyond the standard experience that has been part and parcel of business travel for many years.  Experts say serviced apartments need to have a differentiating factor to keep them top of mind, while appealing to a broad cross-section of business travellers.

Oasia’s wellness focus

Far East Hospitality’s Oasia Residence, Singapore, was launched in October last year with a unique focus on guest wellness. The serviced apartment has centred its brand proposition on travellers who seek to keep to their health and fitness regimes, even when they are away for a longer stay.

That covers a large section of the international business community, particularly those who travel for work. They, and their HR colleagues, know that personal health and wellbeing is a vital part of any international assignment.

With this in mind, Oasia Residence offers business travellers on all types of assignments the valuable opportunity to take advantage of the property’s three wellness pillars: Refresh, Recharge, and Refuel.

A residence for everyone

Oasia Residence has a wide range of apartments to suit business travellers who are visiting Singapore alone or with their family. The 140 residences are made up of studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments.

Built to create the comfort and convenience of home, facilities in each apartment include a fully-equipped kitchen, washing machine and dryer, living area, and seamless Wi-Fi connectivity.

Oasia Residence is integrated into the Seahill residential development in Singapore’s growing West Coast region. Its location offers a perfect base for any business traveller, with fast, easy access to both the Central Business District and the important business hub of Mapletree Business City. The International Business Park and one-north technology hub are also within a 10-minute drive

Wellness services

The myriad of health-focused facilities and services available at Oasia Residence are categorised under the three pillars.

To help guests recharge, there are facilities like the two outdoor swimming and lap pools on the first floor, as well as the serviced residence pool on level seven. Guests can also make use of the spa pavilion for a soothing massage, or take a dip in the sea mist spa pool.

A separate gymnasium is available 24-hours daily, allowing travellers to continue their fitness regime on the treadmill or with a full set of weights. Oasia Residence also offers an Aqua Gym, a rooftop tennis court, and an outdoor fitness area as a valued alternative to indoor workouts.

Travellers can complete the “home away from home” experience by inviting friends or colleagues (perhaps even their HR and Mobility partners!) to refuel with a healthy home-cooked meal, taking advantage of the fully-equipped kitchen, the barbeque pits, or function deck.

And finally, guests can refresh at the end of the day within the comfortable surroundings, whether that means chilling out on the couch in front of the television, or strolling through the lush greenery of West Coast Park, just next door.

Either way, Oasia Residence guests will find themselves in a relaxed, comfortable, and peaceful environment to prepare for the next day’s work.
