2017 Retrospective: HRM Asia's Year in Pictures

Join us for a visual look back at HRM Asia's 2017.

With 2017 wrapping up, HRM Asia takes a look back at the year in review -- in pictures! Scroll on for more.

This year saw HRM Magazine launch an exciting new look, as seen above in our July cover.

As part of the revamp, we introduced an all-new section in our magazine, My HR Career. HR professionals and managers spend their days working at how to help their workforces reach their fullest potential -- in this section, we aim to give HR tools to do the same for themselves.

We had the opportunity to speak with movers and shakers from across the region in HRM Magazine's Leaders Talk HR spotlight section -- including Hari V. Krishnan, CEO of the PropertyGuru Group, and Fitbit Asia-Pacific’s Vice President and General Manager Steve Morley (pictured above, in our November issue).

Our other mainstay feature, HR Insider, saw us dive deep into the people management strategies at some of Singapore's biggest business players, including KPMG, Procter & Gamble, and BreadTalk (pictured above, in th November issue).

We kicked off the year in style at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, with the 2017 edition of the HRM Awards. More than 100 organisations joined us on February 24 to celebrate the region's best and brightest HR professionals and teams.

HR Summit Asia, the region’s biggest and most comprehensive HR and business event returned for its 15th year on May 3 and 4. More than 4,200 delegates converged to discuss the most pressing workforce management challenges and issues in the market, to the theme of “Disruption Proof. Agile. Future-ready."

July witnessed the second edition of our popular HR Think Tank event, which took place at CulinaryOn. HR professionals and managers from across the region gathered in an intimate setting to discuss challenges, experiences and insights, with help from facilitators Lawrence Smith (pictured, top), Sam Neo, and Ravi Bhogaraju.

Professional illustrator Gene Whitlock of Up2Speed (pictured, above) visually recorded the event's learnings in a colourful, mural-sized mind-map.

Some 27 HR service providers received the ultimate endorsement from the Singapore market – collecting one of 38 HRM Asia Readers’ Choice Awards in a gala ceremony on September 8.

More than 240 guests attended the event at Capella Singapore, taking advantage of the venue’s exquisite round ballroom and service-focused hospitality.

Also in September was HRM Asia’s Smart Workforce Summit 2017 -- where speakers included HR legend Dave Ulrich. The two-day event sought to explore the predicted workforce impacts of artificial intelligence, wearable technologies, automation and globalisation, among other fundamental shifts in the working world.

We wrapped up the year in style with a holiday bash that saw each of HRM Asia's departments duke it out in a no-holds-barred decoration contest. Pictured above is the winning decor -- with our very own Santa!

And that's a wrap for 2017! Thanks for continuing to make us Asia's premiere HR publication. Happy new year from the editorial team (pictured above) -- we can't wait to take you through 2018!
