Ann ShenAnn Shen, Vice President, HR, Greater China Group, IBM

Ann Shen has been promoted to the role of Vice President of HR of IBM for Greater China.

As its HR leader, she will see all the people strategies and needs of the Greater China region, which includes China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

She was previously IBM’s Director of HR Development based at its headquarters in Armonk, New York, where she led the HR Skill Development Project.

Shen has some 14 years’ experience in HR Management, four years’ experience as Senior HR partner in IBM covering Asia Pacific, four years’ experience as a business unit HR leader in IBM to lead the HR partners across the global/growth market.

Mark VarricchioMark Varricchio, Senior Manager, Regional HR, Asia Pacific, Expedia, Inc.

Mark Varricchio has joined online travel company Expedia, Inc. as Senior Manager of Regional HR.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Varricchio will support the company’s HR needs across Asia Pacific.

His previous role was as HR Business Partner for Australian clothing retailer Cotton On Group’s business in Malaysia and Thailand.

An HR Generalist and Senior Manager experienced in managing people capital elements of large workforces in leading retail apparel, mining, oil & gas, hospitality/entertainment and FMCG organisations, his key capabilities include strong organisational development, business process strategy improvement, industrial/employee relations management, and leadership development.

Joanna ChewJoanna Chew, Senior HR Manager, Jones Lang Laselle

Joanna Chew is now the Senior HR Manager at Australian commercial real estate firm Jones Lang Laselle’s (JLL) Singapore office.

She joins JLL from British American Tobacco, where as HR Manager, supported the Singapore factory’s workforce needs, as well as HR Business Partner in the entire gamut of talent acquisition, training, annual talent review, succession planning, budgeting, international assignees management along with various Business Projects.

Chew, who possesses over 16 years of business partnering experience, says she is a regional super-user of various HR systems with in-depth experience of the SAP, Workday and PeopleSoft systems.
