Learning and Development director Karina Cuello tells HRM Asia that the real estate company’s transformation journey was led by the CEO himself.

Jones Lang Lasalle’s business transformation started a little later than most other industries, but is now underway in a big way.

The change was centred on human design thinking, because it’s about what people want, says Karina Cuello, Director of Learning and Development Asia Pacific.

“It’s about putting ourselves in their shoes and thinking about more innovative, more effective ways to help our customers.”

And data is going to play a big role in that, which is already a major component at the organisation.

From a learning and development perspective, it is about supporting the business to go on the property technology journey, says Cuello.

In order to help people get flexible around the transformation, education is number one.

“This includes really tech-y things to what bit-coins and block chains mean,” she adds.
