Ilja Rijnen, Regional HR Director, Emerging Asia, Beam Suntory
Ilja Rijnen has joined US premium spirits company Beam Suntory as Regional HR Director of Emerging Asia.
In this role, he reports into the Regional President based in Singapore and the Head of International Human Resources based in Madrid, Spain.
Rijnen will manage a team of 10 HR professionals, who oversee 300 staff members across the region, covering Greater China, Taiwan and Southeast Asia.
Prior to joining Beam Suntory, Rijnen gained significant HR experience through Edrington Asia Pacific and Diageo in South East Asia as Director and Head of HR.
Before he came to Asia, he was the HR Business Partner for Diageo’s Red Stripe Lager, Guinness and spirits business in Jamaica and Latin America. He started his HR career as a learning and development manager for the IKEA Supply Chain in the Benelux and Great-Britain.
Noora Alsagoff, Head, HR, Asia-Pacific, MSD
Noora Alsagoff has been appointed the Head of HR at pharmaceutical company MSD.
As the HR lead, Alsagoff will support and oversee the people needs of the Asia-Pacific region based in Singapore.
She joins MSD from Aon Hewitt Asia, where she was the Head of HR for Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa for over eight years.
A senior HR leader with expertise in talent strategy, engagement, leadership development, succession planning, change management, and culture transformation, Alsagoff has over 23 years’ experience working across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the US.
Shazmi Ali, Cluster Lead – Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia and Brunei at Pfizer
Shazmi Ali has been promoted to the role of HR Cluster Lead for Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia and Brunei at US pharmaceutical giant Pfizer.
Ali was previously the HR Director for Pfizer Malaysia, during which he was responsible for driving culture, engaging today’s talent, shaping the future and building the next generation of talent.
He has over 15 years of HR experience, and has spent a significant amount of time as the head of HR at multinationals like CAE as well as SMEs.
Ali earned a Masters of Business Administration from Victoria University in 2007.
