New HR roles at eBay, GroupM and more

Klaus DuetoftKlaus Duetoft, Senior HR Director, Asia-Pacific, eBay

Klaus Duetoft has taken on a new portfolio at online retailer eBay as Senior HR Director for Asia-Pacific.

Continuing to be based in Sydney, Australia, Duetoft now leads the HR Business Partner function, talent engagement and MyHR teams across Asia-Pacific. This includes Greater China, Japan, Korea, India, South East Asia and Australia.

Of his new appointment, he says: “As a member of the EBay Inc Global HR leadership team, it is an incredibly humbling opportunity to continue to drive and evolve the people agenda for a company that makes such a difference to people’s lives.

“Answering the question as a steward of ‘how do I leave the business in a better place one day for others,’ drives my decisions every day”.

Duetoft, who has been with eBay for ten years, was formerly the Regional HR Director of Asia-Pacific for the MyHR organisation.

Michael WrightMichael Wright, Managing Partner, Talent Acquisition, GroupM

Michael Wright has returned to media investment management company GroupM as the Managing Partner of Talent Acquisition, where he is now responsible for all global hiring activities.

Wright is now based in New York City in this second stint with the firm. He was formerly GroupM’s Head of Talent Acquisition for Asia-Pacific.

Wright was most recently the Head of Talent Acquisition at ride-hailing app Grab, based in Singapore.

Brandon LeeBrandon Lee, Senior People Partner, Love, Bonito

Brandon Lee has just joined Singapore apparel company Love, Bonito as Senior People Partner, where he would support all of the growing firm’s human capital activities.

Lee was previously at Singapore research agency A*STAR for three years, first as HR Business Partner (Senior Officer), then as HR Business Partner (Assistant Head).

Lee is an experienced HR Business Partner who has worked cross-functionally in e-commerce, fast fashion, and research and development.

He writes that he is versed in performance management, stakeholder management, recruiting, and employee relations.
