Spire HR Summit 2015: Breaking all records and hitting new firsts

The Spire HR Summit 2015 was nothing short of a resounding success as the event cemented its status as Asia’s showpiece HR event.

The Spire HR Summit 2015 from May 19-20 smashed last year’s record of 4,172 attendees, with a total of 4,196 HR and business professionals gracing this year’s spectacle at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.

This year’s Summit was also considered to be the most fruitful edition yet, with delegates, sponsors and speakers all waxing lyrical about Asia’s biggest and grandest HR event.

The 2015 edition saw a total of five streams comprising of C-Suite, Strategy, Retention, Talent and HRM.

The exclusive C-Suite stream was privileged to play host to Ram Charan, Global Advisor to CEOs and Business Guru and Jack Canfield, America’s Number One Success Coach and Co-Founder of Chicken Soup for the Soul, among a host of other distinguished speakers.

Meanwhile, the Strategy stream also heard the inspiring life stories of Derrick McManus, Author, Performance Coach & International Speaker and Khoo Seng Thiam, Managing Director, FedEx Express, alongside an illustrious list of other speakers.

Also sharing their success stories were stellar international speakers such as Kellie Egan, Director, HR Australia and APAC at Atlassian, and Naomi Simson, Founding Director, RedBalloon.

Both Charan and Canfield in particular, were afforded celebrity status as they were mobbed by adoring HR professionals and business executives during their book signings and graciously posed for photographs with attendees.

For the first time ever, attendees also got the opportunity to download the official App for the Spire HR Summit 2015.

The App allowed attendees to explore the five Summit conference streams, bookmark their favourite sessions, access exclusive speaker notes, take a tour around the Expo, play the exciting Dessert Safari interactive game and collect points to win a variety of points.

The second edition of the Dessert Safari, which won the UFI 2015 Award – Innovative Catering Concepts for the Exhibition Industry, also proved to be a resounding hit with all attendees, as they eagerly queued all over the Expo for their favourite local and international desserts.

Alan Ovens, International Director, CIPD, said the Spire HR Summit 2015 was a perfect platform for them to reach out to their target market.

“We’ve had quite a range of demographics in terms of the people who have dropped by our booth and they are all HR professionals and they are exactly our target market,” said Ovens.

Ravi Ganasen, Sales Manager, Lumesse, labelled his Spire HR Summit 2015 experience as “great”.

“For Lumesse, this is our first time joining the HR Summit and we have found a lot of prospects who have the knowledge and know what they want,” he explained.

Naomi Chua, HR Executive, International Flavors & Fragrances (Asia Pacific), added the Summit was an ideal opportunity to learn the best practices of other companies.

“It is also a great way to network with other professionals and to exchange ideas and views,” she said.

All in all, the Spire HR Summit 2015 lived up to its billing as Asia’s premier HR event. HRM Asia promises it will be an even more exciting and captivating spectacle next year!
