Top three challenges for Chief HR Officers

More than 100 HR leaders across Southeast Asia revealed their biggest challenges in a recent HRM Magazine Asia poll.

HRM Magazine Asia spoke with more than 100 Chief HR Officers with regional responsibilities ahead of its Chief HR Officer Series events in Singapore and Jakarta.

They highlighted the major challenges for HR leaders across the region in this age of Industry 4.0. The top three challenges impacting CHROs today are:

Talent attraction and retention strategies

 

Building the employee experience

 

Embarking on HR digital transformation

 

A recent Hays report also asked HR leaders to name the biggest challenges they had faced in their careers to date. “Organisational politics”, which typically places the HR function at a lower rung to more established teams such as finance and marketing, was indicated as an impediment to 44% of the survey’s respondents.
