Tricia’s career spans local, regional and global roles across 5 countries: Australia, the UK, Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines (her home). She began in Marketing and shortly realized that there were bigger things for her to market and develop beyond brands, and that was People. Her HR career began as the HR Assistant Manager for the East Asia and Pacific Region of Unilever driving the regional talent agenda, and in particular the building of the leadership talent pool in Asia.
She then took on an international assignment in Unilever Australia to learn the fundamentals of Reward and Talent management, returning to the Philippines to lead the HR integration of Unilever’s biggest business acquisition - Unilever Bestfoods.
Tricia had her first global HR experience in London, as HR Manager for Unilever Bestfoods. There she managed the HR aspects of Unilever’s merger and drove the first Unilever pilot in setting up an outsourced HR shared services model. She was then appointed Global HR Director for the Home and Personal Care Category, where she led one of the biggest business transformations of Unilever, redefining the Marketing organisation to what it is today.
Tricia moved to Thailand as the HR Director for the Asia, Africa, Middle East and Turkey Category organisation, and from there led the Talent, Organisation and Capability building agenda for the business – across over 40 countries. She currently double hats as the overall HR Director for Unilever Asia Pte Ltd & HR Director for Executive Functions for the ASEAN region. Unilever in Singapore is the 2nd largest Unilever headquarters in the world, and is the strategic hub for Unilever’s ASEAN business.
