Our client is an US conglomerate in the high technology manufacturing industry. They are current market leaders in what they do and have further established new business lines through success in their R&D over the past several years and are currently reaping the fruits of their labour. They have set up new manufacturing plants in Asia consistently over the last 10 years and are currently looking for a Talent Management Director to build vitality and longevity in the business.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the VP of HR for Asia Pacific, This role has a significant impact on People Success in Asia Pacific. You will be responsible for the overarching strategy of talent and learning, ensuring the talent bench-strength is adequately pipelined through a stringent and revitalized talent assessment/identification framework. These frameworks and strategies will cater to 2 different groups of individuals, namely the knowledge-intensive and labour-intensive individuals and hence you could expect a highly diverse workforce and you will need to design and formulate accordingly to each group’s demographics. The organization welcomes individuals who easily connects with others on an emotional and strategic level, have the ability to develop the organisation and its people, the ambition to shape the future and the tenacity to deliver on these ambitions.

The Successful Applicant

Ideally, you possess a minimum of 18 years of Human Resources experience reputable MNCs, equipped with a degree in HR or its equivalence. This individual should have held positions where they had full responsibility over the entire talent agenda for Asia, working closely with business leaders to revitalise talent & assessment structures and identify new areas of focus. They would require this candidate to be able to work in a fast-moving culture and someone who could be both strategic and hands-on. The successful individual will possess executive presence, ability to develop new concepts and have displayed influencing abilities across management.
