Best HR Tech – Employee Performance Management Solution (Gold)

ASI Asia Pacific is the Gold Winner of the Best HR Tech – Employee Performance Management Solution award at the HRM Asia Readers’ Choice Awards 2022.

The ASI Asia Pacific team received the Gold Award for Best HR Tech – Employee Performance Management Solution at the HRM Asia Readers’ Choice Awards 2022.


ASI Asia Pacific was presented with the Gold Award for Best HR Tech – Employee Performance Management Solution, demonstrating their commitment and ability to provide employers and employees in Indonesia with a solution that helps them acquire the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in an ever-changing environment.

For instance, its SMART AC is a virtual assessment and development centre solution that includes exercises from traditional assessment centres. It includes personality, ability, and situational judgement assessments, as well as in-tray exercises and competency-based interviews.

Kevin Thompson, Managing Director of ASI Asia Pacific, said that SMART AC had already demonstrated its effectiveness in the market prior to the outbreak of the pandemic. He shared that the team was inspired by the 2019 annual state of the nation address by Indonesia President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo when he highlighted his vision to develop the nation’s human capital.

He cited a quote from Jokowi’s speech which implied that Indonesia’s human capital needs be world-class for the country to expand its influence in international markets, along with the ability to master current and future knowledge. “The time is now, between 2020 and 2024, we will experience a demographic bonus. If we focus on developing our human capital using the latest [methods], the bonus will see us make a leap in progress,” President Jokowi said.

Thompson added, “Whilst initially inspired by the president, the pandemic also created obvious additional business challenges worldwide, and Indonesia was no different. We wanted to make sure that all leaders have a chance to show their true ability through case studies, inbox simulations, a wide range of role plays, and much more. All of which is further enhanced with a broad range of psychometric assessments with the integration of our SMART platform.”

Based in Jakarta, ASI Asia Pacific sees Indonesia as a core market and the company has been focusing on strengthening the leadership capabilities of Indonesia’s state-owned enterprises and helping them become globally competitive.
