Avanade appoints Florin Rotar as Chief AI Officer

Avanade, the leading Microsoft solutions provider, has announced the appointment of Florin Rotar as their new Chief AI Officer (CAIO). Formerly Avanade’s Chief Technology Officer, Rotar will now lead the global AI strategy and execution of the organisation, helping clients accelerate their journey to become AI-first, while maintaining utmost consideration for ethical standards, privacy, and social impact. He will also be responsible for driving Avanade’s own AI transformation capitalising on the market opportunity estimated to be worth $135 billion.
A 20-year Avanade veteran, Rotar has held several leadership positions across the business including Chief Innovation officer, Global Modern Workplace Lead and Global Digital Lead. He was recognised by Entrepreneur Magazine as “Top 10 CTOs To Watch In 2023” and is a member of the Forbes Technology Council. He is one of the co-authors of We the People: Human Purpose in a Digital Age, which explored digital ethics in the digital age.
