HR Festival Asia: A showcase for the region’s top trailblazers

On the plenary stage, Paul Cobban, DBS Bank’s Chief Data and Transformation Officer, will highlight how his team is fundamentally changing mindsets and designing the enterprise start-up culture within the bank. Since 2009, Cobban has led multiple bank-wide transformation programs at DBS, to drive continuous improvement through process re-engineering, human-centred design and journey thinking.

Appearing in the CxO Symposium is Singapore’s leading HR professional in the national public service. Low Peck Kem is Chief HR Officer and Senior Director of Workforce Development of the Singapore Public Service Division, Prime Minister’s Office and responsible for professionalising HR in Singapore’s public sector of 16 Ministries and more than 50 Statutory Boards. She will be speaking about “managing the tech race” and striking a balance between people and technology.

Over at the HR and Digital Transformation stage, Agoda’s Chief HR Officer, Jeff Lee, will share the journey of how the company’s people function has transformed to better support business needs. Lee has been overseeing Agoda’s people initiatives in more than 40 offices worldwide since assuming his role in 2016. Before joining Agoda, he served as a consultant with McKinsey & Company focused on serving clients on a range of operations, organisation design as well as human capital topics.

OCBC Bank is also well-represented on the HR Festival Asia agenda. Head of Learning and Development, Aye Wee Yap, will highlight the bank’s self-directed learning culture as part of her presentation to the Talent Management and Development stream. Meanwhile, her compatriot Deepak Bansal, who is the Vice-President of Analytics, will close the first day’s proceedings on the HR Tech stage with an in-depth look at the use of data to deliver better business outcomes.


The first-ever HR Festival Asia, brought to you by the combined experience of HR Technology Conference & Exposition (US) and HR Summit (Asia), will descend upon Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre on May 8 and 9. It is slated to be Asia-Pacific’s biggest HR and technology conference, boasting six dedicated conference streams and a packed Expo.
