As Malaysia’s online hiring activity declines overall, the demand for HR and Admin professionals in the country also witnessed one of the steepest annual declines of -8% among job roles. It also marks the sixth consecutive month of
decline for the role.
This is according to the latest Monster Employment Index (MEI), a monthly gauge of online hiring activity across Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines tracked by Monster.com.
The MEI comprises data of overall hiring activity in each country, as well as specific data in the HR and Admin sector. It reviews millions of job opportunities from a large representative of career websites and online job listings, tracking the growth of online recruitment.
HR and Admin professionals in the Philippines remain in the top four of in-demand professions among all occupation categories, up an impressive 32% in August.
Singapore continues its downward trend that began in June 2018, posting a dip of -4% year-on-year.
