China’s JD.com to hire 15,000 new staff this year

Out of that number, around 10,000 will be recruited to fill the positions of online managers for the company’s logistics business.

Tech companies in China continue to show strong demand for employees equipped with the skills needed to outpace the competition and grow their empires.

For one, leading online retailer JD.com announced its plan to hire about 15,000 new staff this year. Out of that number, around 10,000 will be recruited to fill the positions of online managers for the company’s logistics business.

The remainder will be working for the retail sales divisions and other subsidiaries, which, of late, have taken shape as the core businesses of the firm, along with digital technology.

As of the third quarter of last year, JD.com had a staff of 170,000, complemented by a large supply-chain network that supplies tens of millions of jobs in outsourcing and third-party online stores.
