Guild, a career opportunity platform, has appointed Dean Carter to the role of Chief People Officer.
Among Carter’s key responsibilities will be to strengthen Guild’s culture of opportunity and implement new employee engagement and human capital strategies to better align shared success between the company and its workforce.
He will also support Guild’s employer partners to redesign their human capital strategies and build programmes that deliver on the wider scope of the modern HR organisation and the growing employee demand for opportunity and career mobility.
Prior to joining Guild, Carte was Head of People and Culture for Patagonia, an American retailer of outdoor clothing. Under Carter’s leadership, Patagonia piloted a four-day workweek approach to encourage better work-life balance for employees and amplified a purpose-driven culture for the organisation.
Carter said, “Guild has a deep understanding of the expanding role of CHROs and their potential to make a change in their organisations and in the lives of their employees. I’m honoured to join the company’s critical mission and play a role in transforming the employee experience for Guilders internally, and for the American workforce that Guild serves, unlocking opportunity for all of our members.”
