Dyson has revealed its recruitment plan for Southeast Asia, following its decision to relocate its headquarters to Singapore. This will include engineers, as well as employees working on production, design and operations.
The company, best known for its bladeless fans and cutting-edge hand dryers and vacuum cleaners, has grown rapidly over the last few years. Dyson now employs around 6,000 people spread across Asia and the U.K.
In July, Dyson said its headcount would “grow quite substantially over the course of the next few years,” although it didn’t reveal any exact figures.
While a STEM background (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is favourable, Dyson is also looking at soft skills such as resilience, learning agility and adaptability in candidates. Soft skills are becoming increasingly important in the workplace, including time management and being able to communicate effectively with colleagues.
