“We will also place a strong emphasis on fostering an environment where individuals are recognised for their achievements and provide growth opportunities for them to spread their wings and thrive.” – Bianca Wong, Vice-President, Operations South-East Asia, FedEx
Federal Express Corporation has named Bianca Wong as their new Vice-President, Operations South-East Asia. Previously Vice-President of Human Resources for Asia Pacific, Wong will now helm the operational strategies in one of FedEx’s fastest-growing markets.
With over 22 years of extensive experience in human resources and business partnership roles across different industries, Wong has demonstrated a strong track record of strategic leadership and operational excellence.
In her new role, Wong will lead the overall planning and implementation of corporate strategies and operations to drive business transformation and will manage a team of more than 4,000 team members across markets and territories in the region.
The transition to a new role has also allowed Wong to reflect on a year that has been filled with both challenges and growth opportunities, and what it means to be a leader in 2024.
She told HRM Asia, “Leading through these times has required a balance of resilience and adaptability, and I’ve been inspired by the incredible dedication of our teams. One of the biggest challenges has been navigating the ever-evolving customer expectations and operational complexities in a region as diverse as South-East Asia.
“However, with challenges come opportunities. South-east Asia is a high-growth market, and I am excited to drive operational excellence and deliver on the FedEx Purple Promise – making every FedEx experience outstanding for our customers.”
In her new role, Wong will focus on advancing FedEx’s transformation journey by enhancing service levels while strengthening the organisation’s ability to innovate and create smarter supply chains.
A people-first philosophy will also be a priority, as Wong and FedEx’s leadership team continue to prioritise efforts in creating a safe and healthy environment for employees.
