Dr Frederik Pferdt, Google’s Chief Innovation Evangelist and Adjunct Professor at Stanford University, will take the plenary stage on the morning of Day One.

He’ll be sharing on the benefits of a “future-forward” workplace environment that encourages exploration and experimentation to meet the challenges of digital transformation.

Pferdt leads a talent global innovation team at ‘Big Four’ tech giant Google, which catalyses creative thinking and trains people on how to build a better future through technology – so it’s safe to say he knows a thing or two about thriving in a world of rapid advances.

Dr CJ Meadows will also be on hand for a deep-dive into design thinking in the business world. Meadows is a Professor of Design Thinking at SP Jain School of Business, where she leads an Innovation Centre that creates growth initiatives intersecting technology, business strategy, and design.

During her At the CxO Symposium session, she’ll unravel the merits of human-centred design in workforce management, and share practical tools and techniques.

The Asia-Pacific debut of the celebrated Women in HR Technology conference is poised to be a highlight of this year’s Festival.

This “conference within a conference” will take place at the HR Tech stage, located in the bustling Expo Hall. Jeanne Achille, Founder and CEO of the Devon Group in the US, will host the event, introducing the stellar panel of speakers and panellists lined up.

Achille is an HR technology expert with more than 25 years of experience, having helped design and launch thousands of technology products in the areas of recruiting, onboarding, payroll, mobility, performance management, and succession planning.

Rounding up the roster of industry heavyweights on stage at HR Festival Asia are Josh Bersin, Jason Averbook, and John Sumser.

Industry analyst and founder of Bersin by Deloitte Josh Bersin will deliver the closing keynote to the Festival. Drawing on data gathered from throughout Asia and the globe he’ll explain how the workforce is changing in this part of the world, and the ways employers themselves will need to evolve.

HR Futurist Jason Averbook will be delivering a thought-provoking session on the gap between consumer technology and the software and hardware now being used in business, while HR Technology expert John Sumser will delve deep into the ways automation, robotics, and artificial intelligence are making life for HR easier, and bringing about more accurate and actionable insights into the workforce.


The first-ever HR Festival Asia, brought to you by the combined experience of HR Technology Conference & Exposition (US) and HR Summit (Asia), will descend upon Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre on May 8 and 9.
