Mondelēz International, the company behind popular snacks such as Cadbury, OREO and Ritz biscuits, have appointed Glenn Caton as its new President for South East Asia (SEA).
Caton, who assumed the role on March 1, will lead a 6,000 strong team working on key markets in SEA including Singapore, Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
His priority will be to accelerate consumer-centric growth, drive executional excellence and build a winning culture to lead the future of snacking in SEA.
On the new role, Caton said, “I am thrilled to be leading the South East Asia Business for Mondelēz – it is such a large; young; growing and dynamic region of world. A region with a rich history and tremendous future potential; where a vibrant, diverse, food industry and snacking behaviours are growing strongly and are at the very heart of culture and tradition.
“It is a privilege to lead a team of 6,000 colleagues across South East Asia who are all passionate about understanding local consumer and customer changing needs and behaviours in order to provide the right snack, for the right moment, made in the right way.
“By doing that we’re confident we will grow our business in a sustainable way for our people; our partners and the planet,” he added.
Caton previously held UK and European Sales and Marketing roles at Procter & Gamble and was the Managing Director of Hiscox Direct Insurance as well as Managing Director of the world’s largest direct-to-consumer wine business, Direct Wines.
