The future of work: Can L&D keep pace?

On 16 January 2025, HRM Asia and Coursera for Business will co-host a transformative webinar, Equipping Tomorrow’s Workforce: L&D Strategies and Innovations for Success in 2025, bringing together some of South-East Asia’s leading HR minds to explore solutions to these pressing issues,

The one-hour virtual session, scheduled from 3-4pm SGT, promises actionable insights into leveraging modern learning and development (L&D) approaches and innovative technologies to tackle skill shortages and unlock workforce potential. Attendees will gain valuable knowledge on capability-building techniques to address business challenges, enhance workforce performance, and drive growth.

The webinar will also delve into how advanced L&D tools can elevate employee engagement and create impactful learning experiences. Additionally, it will examine the importance of real-time data insights for skill development and career progression and provide strategies for upskilling employees in AI while fostering their embrace of emerging capabilities.

Moderated by Sunil Puri, Senior Vice-President and Head of Research and Engagement at Stewardship Asia Centre, the session will feature a distinguished panel of HR and organisational development leaders. Eklavya Bhave, Head of Asia at Coursera, will share insights on bridging skill gaps and driving business growth. Joining him are Meliza Mahmood, General Manager of People and Organisation Development at Sime Darby; Sheriben (Bing) Paraguas, First Vice-President and Head of HR Strategy and Centre of Excellence at Filinvest Development Corporation; and Fong Tuan Chen, Senior Executive Vice-President of Group Human Capital at Maybank.
