The work-from-home (WFH) arrangement has helped the urban middle class greatly during the COVID-19 pandemic, proving to be highly beneficial for them, said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“The rules framed for WFH during the [COVID-19] period made the lives of the urban middle class much easier,” he said, speaking at an event organised by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, reports Business Standard

These include the Real Estate Regulatory Act, which “has facilitated in timely dispense of justice to the aggrieved people, and prevented the spectre of distrust and fraud in the real estate sector. We have also created a special fund worth several thousands of crores to help the middle class,” he said.
