The local government in Delhi is planning to launch a public jobs portal by mid-July, as part of efforts to create two million jobs, outlined in its budget for fiscal year 2022-23.
The platform will use artificial intelligence to draw up the best job matches and will offer end-to-end employment related information to jobseekers, said officials, according to Hindustan Times.
The government has since launched a tender for the online platform, and has set April 19 as the last day for submission of proposals. Approval for the project will be granted by mid-May, and the work order will be released by the end of May, the publication highlighted.
“We are working to initiate an integrated job matching platform to facilitate employment linkages and jobseekers in Delhi through smart matching, employer verification, placement tracking of advanced job matching,” said an official.

Called the Rozgar Bazaar 2.0, the platform will be an upgraded version of Delhi government’s employment portal, which was launched in July 2020 to help the unemployed get jobs.
On that platform, over 1.3 million job applicants registered on the employment portal for some 450,000 available positions, according to the official.
