Armughan Ahmad joins Appen as CEO and President

Armughan Ahmad will take on the role of CEO and President of Appen, a machine intelligence company, with effect from 30 January 2023.
Also serving as the company’s Managing Director, Armughan will succeed Mark Brayan, Appen’s current CEO and Managing Director, who will remain with the company until 28 February 2023 to ensure a smooth transition.
Armughan brings over 25 years of global experience in the technology industry, leading product, sales, and services organisations at KPMG, Dell Technologies, and Hewlett-Packard. He most recently served as President and Managing Partner of Digital at KPMG, overseeing the organisation’s digital transformation from services to products by developing technology-based market offerings to accelerate the digital transformation of industry sectors.
Prior to KPMG, Armughan was Senior Vice-President of Dell Technologies, where he led Dell EMC’s Cloud, High Performance Computing, Workload Solutions and Alliances businesses. He also held executive positions at Hewlett-Packard, 3Com and other technology companies across the US, Europe, and Asian markets.
