Deloitte beefs up its human capital business

The consulting firm has joined forces with Presence of IT to tap into the rapidly growing labour market in Asia-Pacific.

Human capital management in Asia is big business, and ripe for entry from HR tech specialists. As a result, more consulting firms are joining forces with IT players to capitalise on these opportunities.

The latest partnership sees Deloitte join forces with Presence of IT to strengthen its human capital consulting practice. Presence of IT is a human capital management business headquartered in Sydney. It has offices across 17 locations with 600 employees spread across Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, China, Korea, New Zealand, Taiwan, India and the U.S.

Across Asia-Pacific, Deloitte has more than 2,300 people in its human capital business. Deloitte Southeast Asia Chief Executive Officer, Philip Yuen, said: “ASEAN is one of the largest economic zones in the world. There is immense growth potential in this region, driven by labour-force expansion and productivity improvements’’.

Presence of IT co-founder and CEO, Dave Brookes added: “The future of work is all about how people feel, defined by the experiences they have when interacting with business and with customers’’.
