Grab adds 400 high-value jobs in Malaysia with centre of excellence

Grab launched a new Regional Centre of Excellence in its newly expanded 54,000 sq ft office space in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

The centre will house Grab’s core business strategy and operational functions, including legal, customer experience, financial services and creative services.

The company says the the facility’s launch has created at least 400 new high-value jobs.

Grab also opened a Research and Development Centre in Malaysia just last month.

Datuk Darell Leiking, Malaysia’ minister for international trade and industry, said that the creation of these types of jobs is fundamental to meeting Malaysia’s needs in moving ahead with its digital economy goals.

“The Government encourages continued collaboration between the public and private sectors,” he added.

“Our strong investments in anchoring our Regional Centre of Excellence and latest Research and Development Centre in Malaysia is our response to the Malaysian government’s call for public-private partnerships to help drive Malaysia’s Industry 4.0 blueprint and digital economy ambitions,” said Sean Goh, Country Head for Grab Malaysia.

“We are committed to helping Malaysia unlock greater economic gains by creating high-value jobs, nurturing deep tech talents, and attracting more Malaysians overseas to return home,” he said.
