HR Tech PitchFest 2020: Meet the judges

An esteemed panel of judges will decide from an exciting field of 16, which start-ups are offering the latest innovations in HR tech.

As part of HR Tech Festival Asia Online 2020, which is taking place from September 29 to October 1, HR Tech PitchFest 2020 will celebrate some of the most innovative solutions from HR tech startups in Asia.

This year, the winners will be chosen from a shortlist of 16 exciting start-up qualifiers, and decided based on their product value proposition, team ability to execute market need for the product, description or demonstration of a compelling user interface, path or potential path to revenue/ monetisation, overall assessment of the opportunity and the all-important pitch delivery.

The winning teams will also be chosen by an esteemed panel of judges that include:

Syed Ali Abbas

Syed Ali Abbas is the chief strategy officer of Epitome Global, a next-generation employability technology and analytics company headquartered in Singapore. In his role, Abbas is responsible for company strategy, people, partnerships and various corporate matters.

He also volunteers to serve as a member of both the executive council of the Singapore Human Resources Institute and the Board Nominations Committee of AWWA.

D N Prasad

D N Prasad is senior director for Strategy, People and Organisation with Government Technology Agency (GovTech), Singapore.

Known in professional circles as DNP, he is also an executive coach, transformational HR leader, mentor/advisor and a talent and culture strategist.

In a career spanning two decades, Prasad has led scaled transformation, helped build and scale organisations and functions (in-country, regional and global), as well as shape and nurture cultures and careers.

Pip Penfold

Pip Penfold is the CEO and co-founder of People Collider, a company dedicated to the education of HR professionals about new technologies.

Throughout her 20-year corporate HR career, Pip managed many technology implementations and supported HR functions and companies with their digital transformation.

Today, she educates HR about new technologies such as AI and blockchain, as well as technology ecosystem design to solve their talent related problems and prepare them for the future.

Vinod Dontimalla

Vinod Dontimalla is vice-president of Human Resources at Openspace Ventures, which makes investments in early-stage technology companies based in South-east Asia.

A strategic and consultative HR professional with over 10 years’ experience in Singapore and South-east Asia, Dontimalla has vast experience in talent acquisition and, building HR strategies and processes.  Prior to Openspace Ventures, he has also worked with global recruitment agencies like Randstad, Morgan McKinley and Encora Technologies.
