Heads of departments are also called on to ensure that employees wear face masks at all times, and abide by the appropriate social distancing measures.

Staff working in central government offices in India have to report back to the office from February 7, amid an improving COVID-19 situation in the country.

The decision was made in view of the fall in the number of COVID-19 cases, said Union minister Jitendra Singh, according to Mint

“A review of the pandemic situation was done today and in view of a decline in the number of COVID cases as well as a decline in the positivity rate, it has been decided that full office attendance shall be resumed from tomorrow and employees at all levels, without any exemption,” he said.

There will be no work-from-home option for any employee anymore, Jitendra noted.
