Indonesians, Indians most optimistic workers in Asia-Pacific

Indonesian and Indian workers are more confident about career opportunities than those in any other major economy in Asia Pacific.

 

Indonesian and Indian workers are more confident about career opportunities than those in other Asia-Pacific economies surveyed.

In terms of perceived career opportunities, the research showed that the two emerging countries are ahead of Australia, China and Singapore.

According to the LinkedIn Opportunity Index, Indonesian workers felt confident about their economy’s growth potential, and gaining access to and pursuing opportunities they identified as important.

They were followed by those from India, mainland China, the Philippines, and Malaysia.

Workers in more developed nations including Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong and Japan were the least confident about their perceived opportunities, citing their countries’ economic outlook.

The study was based on a survey of 11,000 people across nine countries in the region.
