Leung Cheong Tai joins Kantar as CEO of Insight APAC business

Moving from GfK to Kantar, Leung will focus on leading Kantar’s regional team to develop relationships with its new and existing partners.

Kantar has named Leung Cheong Tai to the position of CEO of its Insight Asia Pacific business. Leung assumes the leadership role previously held by Wayne Levings, who will now focus exclusively on his role as Kantar’s COO.

In her new role, Leung will be responsible for leading Kantar’s regional team to develop relationships with some of the most dynamic brands in the world, working with them to redefine their growth strategies. She will report to Chris Jansen, Chief Executive of Kantar.

She said, “Kantar’s expertise in understanding consumers, its technology and artificial intelligence capabilities are shaping the brands of tomorrow. In our ever-changing complex world, Kantar offers strategic partnerships to brands to help them connect with consumers and build the trust that will fuel the next wave of growth.”

Prior to joining Kantar, Leung served as Regional President, Asia Pacific, GfK, where she was responsible for driving transformation, growth and profitability for the organisation’s portfolio that included market intelligence and digital solutions across the region.

Before GfK, she was with The Nielson Company as COO, before being promoted to the role of Regional President in 2010, where she was responsible for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa markets.

Jansen concluded, “Cheong Tai brings more than 20 years of international leadership and business management experience across emerging, developing markets and Asia Pacific. She will be a huge asset to our business as we continue to build our relationships and push for growth in this most dynamic of regions.”

Leung will assume her role in H1’2023.
