Pakistan’s Minister for Communications Murad Saeed has stated that the Pakistani government remains fully committed to creating 10 million jobs.
“We had promised to provide 10 million jobs and are working on it,” the Minister for Communications said during a senate meeting.
The promise of 10 million jobs was made by Prime Minister Imran Khan before he was sworn into power, in addition to creating “five million new homes” and “eliminating corruption within just 100 days of assuming office.”
The Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme was launched last month in upholding his commitment to creating five million new homes.
The government’s pronouncement seemed to be in reaction to opposition parties that claimed they continue to ignore its job promise.
