Malaysia launches three new HR initiatives

Malaysia has launched three initiatives under its Human Resource Ministry in line with its efforts to build a continuous and sustainable human capital.
These initiatives include the MyFutureJobs Satellite Centre, the use of a tracker at the Department of Manpower (JTM) training institutions and the International Human Resource Transformation Summit (HRTS), reports Bernama.
The jobs satellite centre is a collaboration between the HR ministry, the Social Security Organisation (Sosco), the Rural Development Ministry and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
“To date, there are 61 MyFutureJobs Satellite Centres nationwide that were established as transit satellite centres for job seekers in the rural areas, as they lack facilities to access the MyFutureJobs portal,” said the ministry.
The tracker at JTM training institutions would help support more efficient close-contact tracing to ensure that the institution will not have to shut down in the event of any COVID-19 infection. The tracker is developed by the Malaysia Automotive Robotics and IoT Institute.

The HRTS will be held in March next year, in collaboration with the Human Resource Development Corporation. It aims to discuss the latest issues, challenges and Human Resource 5.0 technological solutions applicable to future manpower needs.
