Deloitte Southeast Asia acquires 50 members of AccelTeam

Deloitte Southeast Asia announced the expansion of its analytics and cognitive (A&C) practice with the latest acquisition of a team of 50 professionals from AccelTeam, a leading intelligence solutions provider of digital transformation and business analytics.
AccelTeam specialises in data-driven analytics, location intelligence, machine learning, enterprise data warehouse automation and converged big data platform solutions. As part of the deal, Deloitte will also acquire AccelTeam’s intellectual property, a ‘Location Intelligence’ asset, to boost our service offerings in location-based analysis and field-based workforce management.
Steven Yong, founder of AccelTeam will join Deloitte as a Consulting Partner and lead the A&C practice in Malaysia. The team of 50 professionals, based in Malaysia, will join the Deloitte Consulting practice. The transaction will further extend Deloitte’s markestrengthens analytics and cognitive servicest leading analytics and cognitive capabilities in Southeast Asia.

Yong brings more than 25 years of regional experience in Analytics, Data Management and Business Process Management consulting and implementation. He has led and delivered projects to banks, telcos, various ministries in Malaysia and regional insurance players.
