LinkedIn is playing its part in the fight against COVID-19 by offering free job postings to help the healthcare sector and companies providing essential services fill critical hiring needs.
The COVID-19 crisis has led to the decline in hiring in various sectors. On a contrary, the healthcare sector has seen an increased demand for frontline workers in their fight against the pandemic, partly due to the recent stimulus packages announced by governments.
To address this demand, hospitals and non-profits working on disaster relief during the pandemic, as well as essential services such as supermarkets, package delivery and warehousing companies, can now post new mission critical jobs for free for the next three months (April 2 – June 30) on LinkedIn.
The career networking site will also offer access to its LinkedIn Talent Insights for free during the same period of time to give these healthcare firms access to real-time data and insights on the talent market.
Olivier Legrand, Managing Director and Vice President, LinkedIn, Asia Pacific said, “This global pandemic has no doubt put a strain on economies and impacted jobs to a large degree. But in the midst of all this, we are hearing heroic stories of those on the frontlines who are working around the clock to protect the public.
“And it’s clear that more help is needed to fill urgent open roles within frontline organisations. In Singapore, specifically, we’ve seen an uptick in hiring for frontline healthcare roles. At LinkedIn, we are in a unique position to help these organisations, and connect them with professionals with the necessary skills, as well as volunteers who are keen to join this cause,” he added.
