Malaysia imposes MCO with 30% of staff allowed in offices in Selangor
The Ministry of International Trade and Industry (Miti) said, “Companies have to comply with the MCO 3.0 general SOPs and are subject to the existing work from home (WFH) procedures, which is only 30% of management staff can come to the office as usual without restrictions in working hours, while the attendance of operation/support staff is to be determined by the employer according to discretion.”
Companies in the districts of Hulu Langat, Petaling, Gombak, Klang, Kuala Langat and Sepang that do not comply with the SOPs may need to close their offices for a certain period of time.
Face-to-face meetings by government agencies or the private sector are not allowed when it involves the presence of external parties, and must be conducted via video conferencing instead.
Also, seminars, workshops, courses, training sessions, lectures, conferences, exhibitions and activities related to meeting, incentives, conventions and exhibitions are not allowed.
In addition, most sports and recreational activities, as well as tourism-related activities are disallowed.
The list of allowed activities include most factory or manufacturing operations, food-related businesses, grocery stores, medical-related services and petrol stations.

In addition, interstate and interdistrict travel is not allowed for the six Selangor districts under MCO 3.0 (based on district borders by the state government). Personnel movement for the purposes of work will be allowed subject to approval, according to Malay Mail.
