Tech workers in India continue with WFH practice
Some 75% of tech workers in India are still working from home, revealed a survey conducted commissioned by the Economic Times.
Almost 50% of firms are unable to call their workers back to the office despite trying to, and these employers fear that ordering employees back to the office may trigger a wave of resignations in the industry.
The survey, which was conducted across 40 businesses employing over 900,000 workers, found that 30% of the firms surveyed are still allowing their workers to work from home. The remaining firms have either resumed working from the office or plan to call their workers back soon.
Companies are prepared for a longer transition period and slower adoption of the return-to-office push, noted Aditya Mishra, CEO, CIEL HR Services, which conducted the survey.
