This was what Secretary of the Party Central Committee and secretary of Ho Chi Minh Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen expressed during a meeting with Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea (RoK) Park Byeong-Seug on his visit to Vietnam, said Saigon Online.
At the face-to-face meeting, City Party Chief Nguyen reaffirmed the strong relations between the two countries over the past many years. Even during the pandemic, the two countries have had many exchange events of various levels to share experiences in COVID-19 containment and economic recovery.
The city’s party secretary also hoped Park’s in-person visit would promote the city as an attractive location for Korean investors.
Other areas for partnership and resources include wastewater treatment and solid-waste management, flood prevention strategies, development of HCMC into a smart city and financial hub in the next five years, said Nguyen.
