HR professionals in India among top three most in demand

India has seen a surge in talent demand in various industries including Automobile, Infrastructure, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management.

A TimesJobs RecruiteX report showed that India’s demand for talent rose 5% month-on-month in October. HR professionals were among the top three roles in terms of the job share, in addition to professionals from Medical and Sales/Business Development.

The Automobile and Infrastructure sectors generated the most jobs last month, each registering 8% growth. In addition, the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) and IT/Telecom sectors emerged as the second-highest employment generators at 6%.

In terms of locations, the report showed that in October, Ahmedabad recorded the highest demand for talents at 8%. On the other hand, Bengalaru, Lucknow, Pune, Indore, Chandigarh, and Hyderabad each saw a 3% rise in talent demand.

The Business Head of TimesJobs and TechGig, Ramathreya Krishnamurthi, said October has been the best so far in terms of hiring activity over the past three months. For seasoned professionals, candidates with 10-20 years of experience were the most in demand.
