“lyf”: Millennial-focused co-living space launched by Ascott

The new "lyf" living space has been created for millennials, by the "millennial-minded". Ascott is now keen to launch the brand across the globe.

Ascott has launched its latest hospitality brand “lyf” for millennials on Thursday. It caters to the millennials and has been created by the millennial minded, lyf is the largest co-living space in Southeast Asia with 412 rooms across 279 apartments. Ascott labels lyf as a hybrid between a hotel and serviced residence.

It boasts features that would appeal to its target audience and is centrally located within Singapore in its Civic and Cultural district minutes from the nearest Cityhall Mass Rapid Transit.

Mindy Teo, Deputy Managing Director of lyf, said: “Millennial and millennial-minded travellers can look forward to a dynamic live-work-play experience given the collaborative spaces, social programmes and strategic location of lyf Funan Singapore.

“Residents can plug into the local community and form connections with like-minded trendsetters, jetsetters, business executives, technopreneurs and creatives. A social hub that offers a new way to belong, we see lyf playing a key role in bringing people together to discover new possibilities, spark creative ideas and contribute to the region’s innovation landscape.”

Ascott will launch two more lyf properties in Singapore within the next half year while expanding to other Asian cities such as Bangkok, Fukuoka, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Cebu and Shanghai by 2022.  Ascott also looks to a global footprint and setting up lyf properties in Australia, Germany, South Korea, Britain and France.
