5,870 jobs opportunities were made available by more than 1,500 companies in Singapore’s professional services sector since April this year, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has announced.
These would be supported under the Jobs Growth Incentive (JGI), which provides “substantial salary support” to companies that continue to grow and need manpower, allowing them to bring forward hiring plans and grow their local workforce over the next six months under February next year.
The 5,870 job openings make up the 9,000 opportunities offered in the professional services sector, which also include company-hosted traineeships/attachments and training courses. 80% of these opportunities are available for professionals, managers, executives and technicians (PMETs) roles.

Calling the professional services sector a “very diverse” one, Josephine Teo, Minister, Ministry of Manpower and Second Minister, Ministry of Home Affairs, Singapore, also urged job seekers to be prepared to hone their skills in emerging technologies such as cloud technology, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI).
She added, “To the job seekers out there, even if you’re not immediately able to get into a job in professional services, it’s well worth the effort to acquire company-relevant, industry-relevant, firm-relevant skills so that when the hiring picks up even more, you are well-positioned to access those opportunities.”
