Startups in India are embracing a “work from anywhere” working arrangement, awarding employees flexibility in where they choose to work.
Startups such as Flyhomes, NoBroker, Meesho, Angel One (formerly Angel Broking), ITC Infotech, Magicpin and Springworks are among the businesses that have either adopted a fully remote working arrangement or given some of their employees the chance to work from anywhere, addressing workers’ needs for more flexibility in working arrangements.
For instance, real estate startup Flyhomes has allowed its staff to either work fully remotely or report to work in a hybrid model, reports The Economic Times.
Retail platform Magicpin has also announced a remote-first model last month, where employees have the freedom to choose where they want to work from.
Last November, tech business solutions provider ITC Infotech implemented a “work from anywhere” policy.
Social commerce platform Meesho has also allowed their staff to work permanently from anywhere, which it says has helped the business reach a large talent pool.

“The work-from-anywhere policy opens up the pool of talent and gives us access to the best minds irrespective of what their location is,” said Ashish Kumar Singh, CHRO, Meesho, according to the publication.
“Currently, 95% of our total workforce is working from other locations, including other countries,” he added.
