Malaysian government needs to step up for 4th IR
The Malaysian government has a pivotal role to play in the 4th Industrial Revolution and can assist workers to be more equipped for it.
Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) vice-president Nathan Suppiah said 4th Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0) was new and fresh graduates especially might not be familiar with what it is.
He said smaller employers will not be in a financial position to acquire the latest technology without the necessary assistance and incentive from the government.
“It will take time for the industries in Malaysia to adopt the latest cutting edge technologies as immediate adoption means we need the right human assets and finance to invest in new hardware and software, including modification to factory facilities,” he said.
