Visier drives AI-powered HR transformation with Singapore expansion

Visier expands in Asia-Pacific with a new AI Lab in Singapore, revolutionising workforce intelligence and HR decision-making with AI-powered insights.

Visier is making a significant push into the Asia-Pacific region with the official launch of its AI Lab and regional office in Singapore. This expansion underscores the organisation’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge workforce AI solutions to businesses navigating the complexities of talent management in an era of rapid technological evolution.

The role of AI in workforce analytics and people intelligence is evolving rapidly, and Visier is at the forefront of this transformation. According to Lee Boon Huat, Chief Growth Officer Asia-Pacific, at Visier, organisations must rethink the traditional concept of workforce management.

“Workforce is no longer just people—it’s people and technology,” Lee told HRM Asia. “Many organisations need to understand not only what their employees are doing and how engaged they are but also how their work directly contributes to business outcomes. It’s not just about how hard you work, but what you produce.”

However, achieving this level of insight is far from simple. Organisations need to integrate data from multiple sources—people data, work data, and financial data—to draw meaningful conclusions. “It requires a lot of effort to bring all the data together,” he said. “But once you do, you can optimise work to produce better outcomes.”

The complexity of workforce management is increasing, driven by technological advancements and the need for organisations to adapt quickly. “Organisations now have to shapeshift their workforce constantly,” Lee noted. “How much work stays with people? How much is handled by AI? How much can be done remotely? Organisations must optimise resource deployment, and AI plays a crucial role in providing the intelligence needed to make those decisions.”

Visier AI Lab aims to support organisations by leveraging AI to enhance workforce decision-making. “AI is not just about automation,” he emphasised. “It’s about feeding intelligence into the process—helping organisations uncover trends, interpret data, and deliver insights at speed and scale.”

Rather than requiring HR teams to sift through dashboards, Visier’s AI solutions, like Vee, integrate into the flow of work. “The most important thing is getting answers in real time, without disruption,” he explained. “AI should anticipate the questions HR professionals will ask and provide insights with supporting data, including historical trends and predictive analytics. This enables faster, data-driven decision-making.”

To further enhance this real-time, data-driven approach, Visier has introduced Vee Boards. These AI-augmented insight boards are laser-focused on specific issues of the highest priority to the C-suite. Vee Boards go beyond traditional dashboards by stitching together relevant data, finding critical signals within the noise, and providing actionable recommendations, ensuring executives receive the right insights at the right time. By leveraging generative AI, Vee Boards empower leaders to quickly monitor critical KPIs, identify potential issues, and adapt strategies proactively.

Singapore was a strategies choice for Visier’s Asia-Pacific expansion, owing to its robust AI ecosystem and strong talent pool. “The government recognises the importance of AI, both in building a skilled workforce and ensuring proper governance,” Lee said.

Beyond governance, Singapore offers access to a diverse and highly skilled workforce. “It’s a great receptacle for top talent, not just locally but from across the region and the world,” he added. “We see tremendous opportunity in tapping into this ecosystem.”

And as AI becomes more embedded in HR processes, professionals must embrace this shift. “It’s not a choice,” Lee stated firmly. “HR must evolve. It’s no longer an option to stay status quo—survival depends on the ability to adapt quickly.”

AI will transform HR roles by automating routine tasks and enabling HR professionals to focus on high-value work. “Forward-thinking HR leaders will use AI to handle administrative tasks so they can focus on being the brain and heart of the organisation,” Lee concluded. “Let AI take care of the analytics while HR provides the human connection, soft skills, and strategic leadership.”
