A successful flexible work strategy begins by focusing on employees
- Shawn Liew
With the theme of Return. Refresh. Reimagine, HR Tech Festival Asia 2022, which took place from May 10-13, successfully brought together Asia’s HR community to rethink workforce and workplace strategies in a world of work characterised by flexibility.
One of the highlights of this year’s event was undoubtedly HR Tech Festival Live, a one-day, in person event, which saw a sold-out crowd of delegates and attendees pack Hall 403 of the Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre in Singapore.
While relishing the opportunity to reconnect with fellow members of Asia’s HR community, attendees also took the opportunity to check out some of the leading HR solutions offered by more than 30 exhibitors who were present at the show.
Ideas and thoughts on how to navigate a new world of work were also exchanged as attendees actively participated in the engaging and thought-provoking sessions presented on the two live conference stages, which featured a distinguished line-up of global influencers, industry experts, and policy makers
After the success of HR Tech Festival Live, HR Tech Festival Asia 2022 then moved to the virtual platform, where attendees participated in insightful and thought-provoking sessions over several key conference tracks.
This included the Women in HR Technology Conference, which provided HR leaders in Asia Pacific with key insights to advance workplace gender equity.
Another widely attended conference track was the HR Leaders’ APAC Summit, which discussed the fundamentals HR must focus on to help their organisations address current and near-term challenges, while laying a foundation for successful growth.
HR Tech Festival Asia 2022 also saw the debut of the ASEAN Human Development Organisation (AHDO) Summit, which examined the state of human development (HD) at work and how this can be improved in the ASEAN region.
HR Tech Festival Asia 2022 also featured the ASEAN Future of Work (FOW) conference, which brought together speakers from regional governments, unions, and the private sector to discuss how to work together to balance stakeholders’ needs and interests in adapting to new business models and ways of working.
Throughout the various conference tracks, one common theme resonated – how and why organisations need to prioritise their employees as they continue to shape their flexible work strategies.
Besides enacting standards and best practices for flexible work, organisations also need to ensure that employees have a say in how flexible work should be carried out. More attention also needs to be paid to improve the employee experience, DE&I, and mental wellbeing, among others.
HR Tech Festival Asia 2022 then draw to a successful conclusion with HR Tech Marketplace, which brought together the biggest virtual showcase of solutions and products from global, regional, and local HR tech solutions providers, including ADP, Achievers, BIPO Service, Ceridian, CoachHub, Cornerstone OnDemand, Coursera, Darwinbox, Deel, Docebo, Enboarder, Globalization Partners, IHRP, Intellect, Leena AI, LinkedIn, Microsoft Asia, MindFi, Nintex, Oracle, Paradox, Pulsifi, Qualtrics, SHL, Skillsoft, Smart WFM, SWAT Mobility, Talk’n’Job, Top Employers Institute, and Wolters Kluwer.
HRM Asia would like to thank all our partners, associations, and the entire HR community in Asia, for making HR Tech Festival Asia 2022 a success and invite you to join us for the in-person HR Tech Festival Asia 2023, which will be taking place in Singapore from May 10-13, 2023.
