Adapting to the work and the workforce of tomorrow

HRM Asia’s CHRO Online Series 2021 will kick off on October 28 with CHRO Indonesia discussing how HR is taking the lead in shaping the future of work.

Forward-thinking HR teams are already discussing a range of different business scenarios for the future as part of their business planning. However, many organisations are arguably lacking an effective long-term strategy that can successfully bring them into the future.

At CHRO Indonesia, which is taking place on October 28, participants can gain insights into why a shift to human-centric leadership is critical for the future of work from the Adapting to The Work and The Workforce of Tomorrow – How HR is Taking the Lead in Shaping the Future of Work session.

Moderated by Jason Averbook, Global Keynote Speaker, and CEO & Co-Founder, Leapgen, the session will feature Pambudi Sunarsihanto, HR Director, Bluebird Group Indonesia, and Sandra Kokasih, Human Capital Managing Director, Sinar Mas Land, who will also explain why the evolving role of HR involves embracing change, and how HR can ensure that their organisation is spot-on with their culture that will last them through the rapidly changing world of work.

To better understand how HR leaders can successfully fill new roles and deliver value to stakeholders, join Dr Bob Aubrey, Founder of the ASEAN Human Development Organisation, who will be moderating the session titled, The CHRO Of the Future: Time to Look at HR Through a New Lens.

Joined by Rudy Manik, Chief Human Resources Officer, FWD Life, and Lelin Eprianto, Senior Vice President, Human Capital Management, PT Pertamina (Persero), the session will explain why CHROs need to be more involved in human capital strategy and the overall business, the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation for the workforce, and how HR’s influence on organisational decision-making can be further expanded and cemented.

Organised by HRM Asia, CHRO Online Series 2021, sponsored and supported by ADP, Abbott, and Nano, official partner of Workplace From Facebook, brings together Asia’s most prominent and experienced HR leaders to meet and discuss the most critical initiatives and issues impacting CHROs as they build their future organisation.

These include planning for recovery beyond the pandemic, as organisations move into a business growth planning phase, even as they continue to determine the final structures of new working models.

From distributed working models to employee engagement, skills gaps to pay parity, talent shortages to brand new, undefined skills that are yet to be scoped, the role of HR has never been more important, said John Antos, Vice-President Strategy, Global Payroll & Asia Pacific, ADP.

Join Antos at his session titled, Beyond Recovery, where he will present the latest workforce and recovery trends, as well as the top considerations and strategies for building a future-proof and agile workforce strategy.

He will also highlight the safety measures organisations can implement for the return to office, and share best practices from Indonesia, in terms of successfully implementing COVID-19 testing and adapting to the safe return to office.

As remote work takes over more of the working life, employees around the world may be feeling more disconnected than ever. Join Gao Yujing, APAC Partner Lead, Facebook, as she shares how the social media giant has continued with their culture of connectedness and innovation throughout the pandemic.

In her presentation titled, Collaboration and Engagement in The New World of Work, Gao will also offer tips on how organisations can improve the employee experience by bringing people closer together in an online world.
