Following the resounding success of CHRO Indonesia, HRM Asia’s CHRO Series 2023 is set to expand its reach to Malaysia this November, delving into innovative strategies for attracting, retaining, and developing top talent under the theme HR 2024 and Beyond: How CHROs Can Shape Organisational and Workforce Transformation.
Thomas Mathew, Group CEO of Talent Corporation Malaysia (TalentCorp), will be kicking off the event by highlighting the key challenges and opportunities in Malaysia’s talent landscape. In his opening keynote, titled Navigating Malaysia’s Talent Landscape: Challenges and Opportunities, he will emphasise the need for organisations to adapt to the changing expectations of the workforce, particularly in terms of flexibility and work-life balance.
The event, bolstered by the support of leading organisations such as Ceridian, ADP, Workday, and BTS, will feature a distinguished line-up of speakers. Among them is Rob Squires, Vice-President and Regional Head of Asia and Japan at Ceridian, who will address the growing complexity crisis faced by organisations due to rapidly changing workforce dynamics and a fluid compliance landscape. In his presentation, titled Harnessing the Full Potential of Today’s Modern Workforce, Squires will also highlight the importance of embracing this new reality and conquering complexity to enable both people and organisations to thrive.
With the growing demand for flexible work arrangements and increased employee support, leaders need to adapt to these changing dynamics. John Antos, Vice-President Strategy, Global Payroll and Asia-Pacific, ADP, will provide insights on how to equip leaders with the skills needed to connect with both on-site and remote employees, emphasising communication, empathy, and adaptability in his presentation titled Leadership Redefined in a Hybrid World and its Impact on Talent Management.
