According to Karen Ng, Regional Head of Expansion and Market Lead, Singapore, ASEAN, India, talent shortage is still a pain point for organisations in Singapore, leading to them looking globally to fill talent gaps in the market.

She expects this trend to stay in the long term due to organisations having more sophisticated HR strategies, corporate infrastructure, and digital tools to support a global and hybrid workforce. This allows them to stay competitive and nimble, where they can turn to global hiring to secure in-demand talent or to retain talent who choose to move abroad, Ng concluded.
