Beyond disruption: How top CHROs are shaping the workforce of tomorrow
- Josephine Tan

As disruption accelerates and workforce expectations evolve, the role of CHRO has never been more pivotal. In 2025, CHROs are taking centre stage as key drivers of transformation, resilience, and innovation. From navigating the adoption of generative AI (GenAI) to embedding agile and inclusive work cultures, HR leaders are redefining people strategies to ensure their organisations remain competitive in an uncertain world.
CHRO Series Singapore 2025, organised by HRM Asia in partnership with Indeed, will bring together more than 150 senior HR leaders in Singapore to tackle these pressing challenges head-on. The event is designed to deliver forward-thinking insights and practical strategies while providing an invaluable platform for exchanging ideas among the region’s top HR decision-makers.
With the theme Empowering CHROs to Drive Future-Ready Workforces and Agile Strategies, the conference will examine how HR can serve as a catalyst for sustainable business growth. Discussions will focus on harnessing intelligent HR technologies, cultivating high-performance cultures rooted in resilience and inclusion, and reimagining leadership pipelines and learning frameworks for the future of work.

A powerful line-up of sessions will anchor the programme, offering participants both inspiration and concrete solutions. In the keynote session, CHRO Leadership: Building a Sustainable High-Performance Culture, Annella Heytens, Vice-President of HR at Microsoft Asia, will explore the importance of reskilling HR professionals to leverage data, AI, and emerging technologies, while also balancing digital progress with empathy, inclusion, and human-centric leadership.
Another highlight will be Grant ‘Upbeat’ Bosnick, award-winning author and Managing Director of YES, who will present “H.I”: Bringing ‘Human’ Back to Human Resources. Drawing on global benchmarks and real-world case studies, Bosnick will demonstrate how HR leaders can integrate “Human Intelligence” into their strategies by combining both head and heart in their approach.
The agenda also tackles some of the most pressing workforce challenges facing HR leaders today, including a thought-provoking wellness discussion titled Beyond Burnout: Cultivating Mental Resilience and Emotional Wellbeing at Scale. Moderating this session is Yan Jiejun, Senior Vice-President and Asia-Pacific Workplace Advisory Lead at Edelman, who will lead a conversation with Uday Burra, head of People Care for APJ and India at Nokia; Sunny Yan, Senior HR Director of Culture and Transformation at The Coca-Cola Company; and Helen Snowball, Chief People Officer at PropertyGuru Group. Together, they will explore how organisations can move beyond surface-level perks to foster resilience and emotional wellbeing, making health and wellness a true leadership priority.
The conference will also feature a panel titled Reinventing Learning and Development for the GenAI-Driven Workforce. Moderated by Chloe Zhou, Global Head of Talent Acquisition, BSO, CBRE, the panel will bring together Aaron Lim, Global Director of People and Culture at International SOS; Joydeep Bose, Managing Director and Group CHRO of Olam International; Ng Chow Yong, Assistant General Manager of Learning and Talent Development at M1 Limited; and Sneha Chopra, Vice-President of Gorup Talent and People Development at CapitaLand Investments. This conversation will address the future capabilities required in an AI-augmented workplace and how L&D leaders can co-create business value alongside leadership while building integrated upskilling frameworks.
