Shaping tomorrow’s workplace: Worktech Excellence track to lead conversations at HR Tech Asia 2025
- Josephine Tan

As the pace of technological advancement accelerates, HR leaders across Asia are navigating an increasingly complex landscape shaped by evolving workforce expectations, hybrid work models, and the imperative of digital transformation. To stay ahead, HR must not only adopt new technologies but integrate them seamlessly into everyday practices—without losing sight of the human experience.
At HR Tech Asia 2025, the newly launched Worktech Excellence conference track is set to address this challenge head-on.
Taking place from 5-8 May 2025 at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre, HR Tech Asia 2025 marks a bold new chapter for HRM Asia’s flagship event. Formerly known as HR Tech Festival Asia, the rebranded event reflects a renewed commitment to helping HR professionals (Re)Align, (Re)Define and (Re)Invent the future of HR.
For the first time, the event spans four days, offering a dynamic and immersive programme that includes three high-impact conference tracks: C-Suite Leadership, Workforce Transformation, and Worktech Excellence.
The Worktech Excellence track, in particular, offers a forward-thinking exploration of how physical workspaces, digital tools, and employee behaviours can be harmonised to drive workforce agility and organisational performance. Designed for HR professionals seeking to lead workplace transformation, this track focuses on the opportunities and challenges brought about by new technologies, offering insight into how HR can become more strategic, data-driven, and agile in today’s rapidly evolving world of work.
One of the highlights of the track is the keynote session by Abhinav Kumar, a Future of Work and AI Thought Leader, who will examine the critical balance between space, technology, and people in designing workplaces of the future. His session, A Renewed Focus on Bricks, Bytes and Behaviours in New Age Workplaces, encourages HR leaders to move beyond siloed thinking and adopt an integrated approach that enables meaningful collaboration and sustainable performance.
In another keynote titled AI Beyond Tech: How HR Should be in the Driver Seat to Lead Workforce Transformation, Dominique Rose Van-Winther, CEO and Chief AI Evangelist at Final Upgrade AI, will place HR at the centre of AI-driven transformation. She will present actionable frameworks and real-world use cases where HR is not just adapting to AI, but leading the charge in rewiring work with future-ready tools and mindsets.
Subhankar Roy Chowdhury, Executive Director and Head of HR for Asia-Pacific and Japan at Lenovo, will offer a timely perspective in his session, The Race Between Technology Advancements and People Priorities – Are We Getting it Right?. He will delve into how HR can retain the fundamentals of human connection while still embracing the efficiencies and capabilities offered by digital tools, urging organisations to harness the benefits of innovation while mitigating its potential drawbacks.
Yvette Koh, Studio Director at Gensler, will turn the spotlight on wellness and inclusion in her session, Wellness Beyond the Physical: Creating Purposeful Communities and Neurodiverse Workplaces. She will explore how organisations can create environments that support wellbeing and belonging, and how designing for difference can unlock a more inclusive and competitive workplace.

He will share strategies and technologies that help bridge the communication gap between remote and onsite teams, and how these solutions can foster greater engagement and cohesion in distributed workforces.
The track will culminate in a compelling panel discussion, Rhythms of Innovation: Architecting Hybrid Workplaces and Employee Experience Excellence. This session will bring together industry leaders including Caroline Burns, Founder and Managing Director at Workplace Revolution; Soon Eng Sing, Vice-President of Group People and Sustainability at Singtel; Gan Kian Keong, Chief People Officer at IHH Healthcare Singapore; and Jessie Cheing, Chief Human Resources Officer at Manulife Singapore.
The panel will unpack the evolving dynamics of work and how organisations are placing employee experience at the core of their hybrid workplace strategies. Panellists will also explore how data and workplace metrics can be used to rationalise and measure the success of these strategies in real time.
For HR leaders ready to embrace what’s next, HR Tech Asia 2025 offers an opportunity to be at the forefront of the conversations shaping the future of work. Whether you are looking to redefine workplace strategies or explore the latest in HR technology, the Worktech Excellence track will provide insights, tools, and connections to drive meaningful transformation within your organisation.
