Harnessing technology to build a future-capable workforce
- Shawn Liew
As the pandemic continues to bring uncertainty to the workplace, organisations are looking to build workforces that are not only able to adapt to the changes happening today, but which can thrive beyond the pandemic.
Deploying the right technology, for instance, can help organisations attract, retain, develop and maximise workforce contribution.
To kick off HR Tech Fest Connect 2021 on May 27, Josh Bersin, Global Industry Analyst and Dean of the Josh Bersin Academy, in his opening keynote titled Untangling the new HR tech market 2021, will highlight how the HR tech market has been transformed to focus entirely on employees.
Companies need AI-enabled tools that fit together like puzzle pieces and platforms that let them easily build employee journeys, while understanding how the user experience for HR platforms is “dramatically changing”, he added.
Most companies will not go back to an office-first environment, suggested Charles Ferguson, General Manager, APAC, Globalization Partners. In preparing for new ways of working, organisations need to understand how remote work can advance ideas, technology and innovation on a global scale.
During his presentation titled What to do when everyone is everywhere: Global remote teams, Ferguson will discuss the power of technology to spread ideas at a faster and more effective rate than ever before.
What are the key attributes that will define a leader’s success in today’s world? Drawing on a recent study, Michael Lee, Managing Consultant, South-East Asia, SHL, will share how leaders can use data to help uncover “hidden gems” within their organisations and improve diversity and inclusion.
Lee’s presentation, titled Level-up your talent decisions with the power of context: What are the new metrics, will also provide advice on how leaders can re-use objective data to make real-time management decisions.
Organised by HRM Asia and powered by ADP, HR Tech Fest Connect 2021 is Asia’s largest regional flagship conference, and will identify the key trends and priorities defining HR and work tech, as well as examine key workplace issues such as employee wellbeing and engagement.
